I stumbled upon a very cool photographic portfolio by Sophie von Herzogenberg, a free lance photographer who lives and works in Germany - I just had to share it. She documented photographically the psychoanalytic practice setups in three different countries - they are different in terms of culture, language, perhaps also, the school of psychoanalysis, amongst other possible factors. However, from the photos, I was pretty amazed.
Have a look at how similar or different these rooms are furnished, and how the analyst and analysand occupy the space. Have your own say.
