June is a seasoned practitioner with more than 15 years of invaluable experience in both hospital and public service settings. She has provided therapy support to youths and adults faced with multiple challenges; such as trauma, addictions and co-occurring disorders, and mood issues. June also advocates for trauma-informed and gender-responsive care in treatment.

Through her years of providing treatment for people struggling with addictions, she recognised the significance of family support and human connection in recovery. This ignited her interest and journey in enhancing support services, and providing counselling for family members of addicted persons. Driven by her profound belief that families are the bedrock of society, she specialises in working with families with youths and young adults who have behavioural or emotional problems. Respecting the uniqueness and potential in every individual and family, June tailors therapy to each family and seeks to help families reconnect, nurture change, and thrive as a whole.

June is trained in several therapy models including Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness-based approaches. While she integrates various techniques in her work, she draws mainly from principles of systemic and humanistic approaches to empower her clients in attaining growth and well-being. June is also an accredited Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) practitioner and trained to provide Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM).

Apart from providing therapy, June has been providing supervision to junior practitioners and conducting training and workshops for other professionals within the field. She is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Nanyang Technological University and provides clinical supervision to postgraduate psychology students.

June likes exercising, taking long walks, and enjoying a cup of coffee at a nice cafe. More than anything else, she loves spending time with her family, close friends and walking her dog.
