Soh Chin has counselled young adults with emotional and family issues at Whispering Hearts Family Service Centre and facilitated group grief therapy sessions at Viriya Family Service Centre. Her approach is person-centred and psychodynamic, holding space for her clients and working closely with them to explore their issues, past and present.

As a trained communications professional, she also believes in the power of storytelling and how it can aid mental and emotional healing.

In her spare time, So Chin believes in giving back to the community. She is the President of the AWARE Board for 2022 to 2024; and a board member of the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations. She served previously on the board of the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre.
