Charis received her postgraduate clinical training at The University of Queensland, Australia. She is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Known for her warm, sensitive and collaborative approach, Charis considers it a privilege to journey alongside individuals and families through different seasons and challenges in life. She works with clients experiencing trauma, mood and relational difficulties, grief, and parenting and family-related concerns. Guided by trauma-informed and attachment-focused perspectives, Charis seeks to understand each client's unique experiences and needs, and to create a safe and supportive space for healing, growth and meaningful change. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy, tailoring her interventions to each individual's needs and goals. Charis is also an Accredited Triple P® Parenting Program Practitioner and Registered Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P) Facilitator.

With over 15 years of experience in public service, Charis has worked across clinical, child protection and family justice settings. Her experience includes providing psychological expertise in complex family matters, including custody and access evaluations, as well as supporting family restoration in high-conflict divorce and separation cases. A strong advocate of traumainformed care, Charis has provided consultations and training to professionals and students on the application of trauma-informed practices. She is also a regional trainer in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and co-authored a chapter on its application in Clinical Psychology in Singapore – An Asian Casebook.

Beyond her clinical work, Charis is passionate about nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals through reflective supervision and teaching. She lectures at the National University of Singapore and Singapore University of Social Sciences. In recognition of her contributions, she was among the recipients of the NTU School of Social Science Rising Stars Award in 2024.
